Softening and purification do two different jobs. Install both on your main line and you get scale-free, better-tasting, safer water at every tap—ideal for Putnam County’s groundwater and variable mineral content—for less than buying two systems separately.
Start with the softener on its own, or bundle it with purification below. Every price is installed by our own technicians across the Palatka/Putnam County area—no separate labour charge.
Softener only—salt-based or saltless, same price either way. Great for Childs’ moderate hardness, installed in one visit.
$1,495
Installed Salt-based or saltlessBoth kinds protect your plumbing and appliances from moderate hardness—they just do it differently, and both cost the same on their own or in a package. Choose the option that fits how you want to live with it, not the price.
A high-capacity resin tank—up to 42,000 grains—removes calcium and magnesium (common with moderate hardness) before water reaches a single fixture. An electronic control valve meters your household’s actual use and regenerates on demand rather than on a timer.
A single tank on the main line. A catalytic media bed converts dissolved hardness into microscopic crystals that stay suspended in the water instead of plating out on your pipes, and a conditioning stage helps keep them from sticking to plumbing surfaces.
Same price either way Salt-based or saltless—your package price doesn’t change. Tell us what you want when we schedule your Childs install, or ask and we’ll recommend what suits your home.
Your softener plus the purification stage you want, plumbed in together on one visit for one installed price. It’s a smart fit for Childs-area groundwater and river-adjacent systems where mineral content can vary.

How It Works In Your Home
In Childs and the Palatka area of Putnam County, your water often comes from groundwater and river-adjacent systems, so mineral content can vary. These two systems install in series on the main line: the softener handles hardness minerals that scale up your water heater and fixtures; the purification stage handles what you can taste and smell. Neither does the other’s job—which is why they belong together.
City or well water in Childs, exactly as it arrives—sometimes mineral-heavy, sometimes chlorinated, and untreated.
Takes on the calcium and magnesium behind Putnam County’s moderate hardness so scale never gets a start.
In every packageSediment and carbon help remove grit and the taste/odor issues that can come with groundwater and river-adjacent sources.
1 or 3 stagesClear water lets UV-C reach bacteria, viruses and cysts with no chemicals—great for humid subtropical Florida.
Packages 2, 4 & 5A final polish at the kitchen tap for drinking and cooking water.

A water softener deals with hardness—the dissolved calcium and magnesium that can build up inside your water heater, crust up your shower head, and leave spots on glassware. In Childs and the Palatka area, water often comes from groundwater and river-adjacent systems, so mineral content can vary, but moderate hardness is common. A purification system deals with everything else: the sediment and rust traveling through the main, the chlorine and chemicals you can taste and smell, and, with UV, the bacteria, viruses, and cysts that no filter cartridge is designed to stop. One will not do the other’s job. That is the whole reason these packages exist—the two systems are plumbed in series on the line coming into your house, in one visit, for one installed price that is lower than buying them separately. Choose the softener you prefer, choose how far you want the purification side to go, and we handle the rest.
Both systems sit on the main line, so every tap gets the same treated water in your Childs home.
Moderate hardness is handled before it reaches the water heater or a single fixture.
Enjoy sparkling, spot-free dishes, glassware, and silverware after every wash.
Protects water heaters, dishwashers, and washing machines from costly damage.
Brighter, softer clothes with less fading, wear, and tear over time.
One company maintains both systems—cartridges, salt, and lamps included.
