The System Itself
The whole system fits under your sink and connects with quick-connect fittings. Four quick-change twist cartridges carry the seven filtration stages, and a UV chamber sits inline between them. There is no bulky storage tank, so the water is purified on demand rather than sitting and waiting.

Filtration Stages
Each stage handles something the one before it left behind. UV is the fifth step in the sequence and the one stage that is not filtration at all - it is there to deal with what a filter cannot catch.

Cold water enters a PP sediment cartridge that catches rust, dirt, sand and large particles, then a CTO carbon block that takes out chlorine, odors, colors and chemicals. The reverse osmosis membrane removes up to 99% of dissolved solids and heavy metals, sending the concentrate to the drain at a 1.5:1 pure-to-drain ratio, and a second carbon block cleans up the taste. A built-in UV lamp then kills 99.99% of bacteria, viruses and microorganisms - the one thing a filter cannot catch - operating automatically on water flow pressure. Post carbon polishing, an alkaline and mineral stage and a final ultra-fine filter finish the water, putting beneficial minerals back for a balanced pH and catching any last particles.
