How It Works
Hard water from the main supply enters the system and leaves as soft, conditioned water. The softener removes the hardness minerals—calcium and magnesium—that cause scale, spots and dry skin, giving you soft, luxurious water throughout your Isles of Capri home.
Why hard water is the problem in Isles of Capri
Calcium and magnesium are dissolved rock. They do not filter out the way sediment does—they come out of solution as scale on anything warm or wet: the inside of your water heater, the shower glass, the dishwasher element, the faucet aerators. In hard-water areas like Isles of Capri, ion exchange is the method that actually removes them from the water rather than just changing how they behave.
Sits on top of the tank, monitors usage and regenerates automatically when the resin needs it.
Ion-exchange resin attracts and removes hardness minerals as water flows through the bed.
Holds salt for automatic regeneration, so the resin is recharged and you always have soft water.
It regenerates on demand, not on a clock
Timer-based softeners regenerate whether you needed it or not—wasting salt and water on a quiet week, and running out mid-cycle on a busy one. This valve meters what the house actually uses and recharges the resin at the right moment—great for busy Naples–Marco Island area households.
See & Feel the Difference in Hard-Water Homes
Softening is one of the few upgrades you notice right away. Showers feel better, glassware comes out clear, and the ring around faucets stops coming back—especially helpful with Isles of Capri’s hard water.
| Around the house | Before - Hard Water | With a Softener After - Soft Water |
|---|---|---|
| Pipes, heater & fixtures | Hard-water scale and buildup | No more hard-water scale or spots |
| Dishes & faucets | Spots on dishes and faucets | Shiny, like-new fixtures—less hard-water scale |
| Skin & hair | Rough, dry skin and hair from hard water | Softer skin and silkier hair |
| Laundry | Stiff, scratchy laundry | Softer, fluffier laundry |

The Mr. Pure Water Whole-House Water Softener uses advanced ion-exchange technology to remove calcium and magnesium (hardness minerals) before water reaches a single fixture. A high-capacity resin tank—up to 42,000 grains—does the work, while an electronic control valve meters how much water your household actually uses and regenerates on demand rather than on a timer. The built-in brine cabinet keeps the resin recharged, and a low-salt indicator tells you when to top it up. The result is soft, conditioned water at every tap—ideal for coastal Collier County homes dealing with hard-water scale, corrosion concerns, and salt-air conditions: less scale in the water heater, fewer spots on glassware, no film on the shower door, and noticeably less soap and detergent to get the same clean.
