Four Steps, In Sequence
In a remote island setting like Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas, water can arrive with dirt, sand, sediment and impurities that affect taste, equipment, and everyday use. Four treatment steps handle it in order—because the order matters. Sediment removal keeps the carbon from being wasted on dirt. Carbon reduces chlorine and chemicals a UV lamp can’t touch. And by the time water reaches the UV chamber it’s clear, which matters more than it sounds: suspended particles cast shadows that let microorganisms slip through un-irradiated.
Captures rust, traps dirt, sand, silt and sediment, and helps reduce turbidity.
Enables: protects downstream media from clogging.Reduces chlorine, improves taste and odor, and helps reduce VOCs, pesticides, and herbicides.
Enables: removes what UV cannot act on.Final polishing stage—further reduces chlorine and VOCs, captures fine particulate, improves taste and clarity.
Enables: clear water, so UV light reaches everything.A stainless chamber where high-intensity UV-C light helps neutralize or inactivate harmful microorganisms—ideal for managed on-site potable water.

Inside the Housings
Three full-size housings on one manifold, each holding a different medium, then a stainless UV chamber—here’s what’s inside each one.
Inside: a depth-wound polypropylene cartridge. Water moves from the outer windings toward the core, holding rust, sand, silt and sediment before carbon.
Inside: a full housing of loose carbon granules. Water threads through slowly, giving chlorine, VOCs and solvents time to adsorb.
Inside: carbon compressed into a solid wall around a hollow core. No loose path through it—so chlorine, fine particles and organics can’t slip past.
Inside: a UV-C lamp in a quartz sleeve running the full length of the chamber. Water passes along it and the light disrupts DNA/RNA—no chemicals added.

Step Four
High-intensity UV-C light disrupts DNA and RNA so microorganisms can’t reproduce—without adding a single chemical.
Water can travel through dark, damp lines before it reaches your taps. In the Dry Tortugas’ tropical maritime conditions, that environment can support microorganisms and biofilm growth. UV-C sterilization at the point of entry adds a powerful final layer of protection to help inactivate harmful microbes throughout your water supply.
Water enters the UV chamber.
High-intensity UV-C light penetrates microorganisms for added protection.
DNA / RNA disruption helps neutralize or inactivate them.
Cleaner, safer water flows throughout your Fort Jefferson property.

The Mr. Pure Water 3-Stage Whole-House Water Purification System with UV Sterilization combines premium sediment and carbon filtration with high-intensity ultraviolet protection to deliver cleaner, fresher, better-tasting water throughout your entire home. Water hits the MPP sediment pre-filter, then granular activated carbon, then a compressed carbon block, and finally passes through a stainless chamber where a UV-C lamp irradiates it before it goes out to the house. Each step protects and enables the next: sediment removal keeps the carbon from being wasted on dirt, carbon reduces chlorine and chemicals a lamp cannot touch, and clear water lets the UV reach every organism rather than leaving shadows for them to hide in.
